Fall 2024 Newsletter
Since the beginning of the school year the Lord has continued to bless the labor and our students at the University of South Carolina.
Major highlights include the Ambassadors Weekend and Internship, Labor Day Conference, Carolinas Outing and additional baptisms. After much prayer we had an attendance of 31 students to the outing and two baptisms. May the Lord continue to grow in these students more and more each day!
Ambassadors weekend and Internship
This year we had an Ambassadors weekend where some students were encouraged to come and be perfected in four matters: Life, Truth, Fellowship and Impact. We had 17 students join this time with a heart to serve the Lord with us and help others meet the Lord through the club. From these students 6 made a commitment to serve with us during the fall internship. We thank and praise the Lord for His answers to our prayers that Christ would be manifested in these ones throughout the remaining of this semester and the coming semester.

Labor Day Conference
A total of 17 students came to the Labor Day conference. During the conference we fed them and corralled them as a group to the meetings to sit together. It was an enjoyable and profitable time and most of our students received the speaking very positively.

Carolinas Outing:
This fall we had a Carolinas college outing at Rockfish Camp in Parkton, NC. We prayed for the Lord to bring more students to this event, and we had 31 students that came from our labor. This was a wonderful time for our students to reconnect and to “pursue the Lord with those who call on His name out of a pure heart”. The Lord blessed the singing and the speaking during this time and our students really enjoyed blending with students from other areas and with one another. We felt this was a very profitable time for keeping the students connected and encouraged to pursue the Lord.

Baptisms
This semester we have baptized a total of 6 college age young adults. Each of them received encouragement to come forward to be baptized from fellow students, community saints or the outing speaking.
MIC Nights
We have continued to have our MIC nights once a month in the evenings. Students have a chance to prepare a previously assigned portion or to share a testimony or enjoyment of the Lord. These times are sweet and enjoyable since it takes the students out of their routine and into an intimate fellowship time. It also gives them an opportunity to practice sharing in a meeting according to the principle of “each one has”. Please continue to pray that these times would be full of the Lord’s blessing and presence.

Staying Connected During the Winter Break
It can be challenging in the winter break to stay connected because of work, travels, and family commitments. When it gets busy, it is essential for the students to remain joined to the members of His Body. With this in view, we prepared three events for the students:
Life Studies challenge
This winter break we are using the ‘500 Life-Studies’ app to introduce the students to the ministry and truth. This is being done by reading together by phone, in-person or virtual appointments and by keeping each other accountable through the app’s scheduling and notification features. We have approximately 11 students that are either currently reading the Life-Studies or have signed up through the app to start reading them.. Our prayer is that the students receive much life from and light from the Lord, that they will develop a taste for the ministry and the truth and that this will turn into their daily salvation this winter.
Cornhole challenge
We had a cornhole challenge to connect with some of our existing students and to meet new students to let them know about the club and get to know them. It seems like the event was a success and we saw an increase of new faces that day at our LIFT event! Some students that completed the challenge got a free hoodie with our club logo on it. Please pray for these students to continue to seek the Lord and that we can establish communication with them for further shepherding.
Brothers camping trip
Five brothers are planning a backpacking trip to Keowee-Toxaway State Park over the Winter break. Please pray that the Lord covers this time and that there will be much blending and connections made.
